Boil your kettle and add the required amount of salt to a jam jar. Mix your boiled water into the jar and allow the salt to dissolve. (1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 1/4 pint of boiled water)

Allow this to cool to a warm bath temperature.

​​Your saliva is a natural antiseptic and takes care of the piercing for you, but we recommend doing hot salt water mouthwashes 2-3 times a day
You have also been given some homeopathic anti-inflammatory tablets.
The dosage is 1 tablet 3 times a day until they are finished.
Tip one from the bag into a container, then tip into the mouth and suck them like a sweet until they fully dissolve.

DO NOT TOUCH THE TABLETS WITH YOUR HANDS: this destroys their effectiveness.

DO NOT SWALLOW THE TABLETS WHOLE.

DO NOT USE A CHEMICAL MOUTHWASH.
Try to avoid taking anti-inflammatory tablets unless you absolutely have to. Pain killers dull the pain, which means you use your tongue more, which means it will stay swollen for longer.
You will be fully healed within 14 days and will need to change your bar down to a shorter one.
