Boil your kettle and add the required amount of salt to a bowl. Mix your boiled water into the bowl and allow the salt to dissolve. (1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 1/4 pint of boiled water)
Allow this to cool to a warm bath temperature.
Submerge your piercing in the bowl of hot salt water and leave it there to soak for 4-5 minutes. You must ensure that both the inside and outside of your piercing is fully submerged.

When you have finished soaking, take a cotton bud and wet it in the salt solution. Use this to clean around the ball/gem and the skin/piercing hole, gently removing any matter.
Then gently push against the back of the stud and clean the excess post sticking out from your piercing.
Right nostril: clean away from your face.
Left nostril: clean towards your face.
This keeps the ball done up tight!
Rinse the piercing with clean water.
Next, take a clean cotton bud and dip it into the bottle of herbal tincture. Push the excess stud out again and paint the tincture onto the stud and piercing hole. Do not rinse this off and let it dry.
