Lobe 6-8 Weeks Cartilage 6-9 Months
Boil your kettle and add the required amount of salt to a bowl. Mix your boiled water into the bowl and allow the salt to dissolve. (1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 1/4 pint of boiled water) Let this cool to as hot as you can bare it.
Take a piece of kitchen roll and fold it into a square. Dip this into the hot salt water and hold it tight over the front/back or top/bottom of the piercing. You want to ensure the piercing is fully covered. When the kitchen roll goes cold, re-dip it in the hot water and hold it tight on your piercing again.

Soak the piercing for 4-5 minutes.

When you have finished soaking, take a cotton bud and wet it in the salt solution. Use this to clean the ring and the skin/piercing hole, gently removing any matter. You must clean the whole ring.
Gently turn the ring through your piercing and clean again. Do this both ways.
Rinse the piercing with clean water.
Next, take a clean cotton bud and dip it into the bottle of herbal tincture. Paint the tincture onto the ring and piercing hole. Gently turn the ring through the piercing so the tincture goes inside the piercing. Do not rinse this off and let it dry..
